The "FACES of the 2003 Fire Siege" report is a July 2007 case study of how the fires claimed so many lives. This presentation, created by the author Dr. Bob Mutch, will highlight the Lessons Learned from the Southern California Fire Siege of 2003 in which 22 civilians and 1 firefighter died.

Instructor Bio:
Dr. Bob Mutch retired from a 38-year career in wildland fire research and management with the U.S. Forest Service in 1994. He then began serving as a fire management consultant for the United Nations and the World Bank with assignments in Brazil, Bulgaria, Ethiopia, India, and Mongolia.
