Dr. Bob Mutch retired from a 38-year career in wildland fire research and management with the U.S. Forest Service in 1994. He then began serving as a fire management consultant for the United Nations and the World Bank with assignments in Brazil, Bulgaria, Ethiopia, India, and Mongolia.
